FreeThe Rattle Reading Series returns for the last time in 2016, featuring Clint Margrave from the current issue, and Michelle Bitting, who’s appeared in Rattle dating back to 2001.
Because we only have two featured readers, we’ll have an extended open mic, so bring a few poems!
Michelle Bitting’s latest collection, The Couple Who Fell to Earth (C & R Press, 2016), received a starred and Best of 2016 medal from Kirkus Reviews. has work published or forthcoming in the American Poetry Review, Prairie Schooner, Nimrod, Narrative, River Styx, Crab Orchard Review, Passages North, Linebreak, diode, Anti-, the L.A. Weekly and others. In 2007, Thomas Lux chose her full-length manuscript, Good Friday Kiss, as the winner of the DeNovo First Book Award and C & R Press published it in 2008. Her book Notes to the Beloved won the 2011 Sacramento Poetry Center Award. She holds an MFA in Poetry from Pacific University, Oregon, and is completing a PhD in Mythological Studies at Pacifica Graduate Institute. (https://www.crpress.org/
Clint Margrave is the author of The Early Death of Men, a collection of poems published by NYQ Books.
